Sonatine d’amour, op. 41
for oboe d’amore and piano
The technically and rhythmically demanding three-movement Sonatine d’amour, which lasts around 15 minutes, was composed in 2021. The first version for oboe d’amore and piano was immediately followed by a version for clarinet in A. The piano part of both versions is identical and has a little surprise in store at the end of the work, for example when the page turner himself “lends a hand” (optional) after the last page turn, as the piano part is notated for four hands at the end as a final increase. A calmly flowing, melancholy Prélude is followed by a Fantaisie in neo-romantic tones with a scherzo-like middle section before the restlessly virtuosic final movement. Sound demo
