This new arrangement of the national anthem of the Federal Republic of Germany follows exactly the version as it is heard at the beginning of the second movement in Joseph Haydn’s “Kaiserquartett”. The arranger tried to free the orchestral writing from late romantic ballast and dared to take a step back to the clarity and simplicity of the Viennese classical sound ideal. The hymn can already be played in the five-part core movement (Flhn I/II, Thn, Bar, Tb). A song sheet with permission to copy is enclosed.
