Quartet movements for violoncellos, volume 1
The continuation of the MUSICA ALLEGRA 5 booklet with 14 arrangements from the baroque, classical and folk song genres, which take into account more modest technical abilities. In addition to well-known composers such as
Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759), Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), works by lesser-known masters such as Pietro Torri (1689-1737) and Sant’Alfonso de Liguori (1696-1787) are also presented here. The editor Emmerich Bünemann himself wrote two sets of variations on “Es tönen die Lieder” and “Die Weihnachtsnachtigall”.
