Description
Jiří Družecký
Quartetto F major for Clarinet in B flat, Violin, Viola and Violoncello
edited by Hanno Fendt and Michael Nowotny
Jiří Družecký, also known as Georg Druschetzky, was one of the versatile composers of the Classical period and is best remembered as a military musician, oboist and composer of numerous wind music works.
His Quartetto for clarinet in B-flat, violin, viola and violoncello is presented here for the first time in a new edition with score. With its unusual instrumentation and the rarely used key of F major for this ensemble, the work is an attractive discovery for chamber musicians. The edition is based on a manuscript copy held by the Library of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
