“The Round” is a somewhat unusual name for a march. The piece owes its name to the composer’s brother, who is a great friend of brass band music. He had asked his sister for a march as a present for his milestone birthday in 2014. Dorothee Eberhardt was happy to comply with this wish and named her birthday present the “Round”.
