Holiest night
24 Christmas carols in four- to eight-part movements
With this collection we present you with a “delicacy” and a well-assorted “treasure trove” for the organization of Advent and Christmas celebrations and church services or simply for making music and singing together.
These four- to eight-part movements can be performed instrumentally in variable instrumental formations for strings and/or woodwinds and/or brass as well as trombone choir in Kuhlo notation (= score). The five- to eight-part arrangements can also be played in four parts in a separate movement. All the pieces are also suitable as accompaniments to the choral booklet published in parallel by Strube Verlag (VS 5053); the verse preludes and interludes are also marked in the parts.
All the songs were set in the style of their time of composition by Franz Beyer, editor of a version of the Mozart Requiem and numerous works of the Viennese Classical period which is now established worldwide, whereby the simplicity and clarity of the movements are based on historical models.
