Description
Johann Gottlieb Naumann (1741-1801)
Sonata IV for glass harmonica
I. Adagio – Sostenuto – II. rondeau – Allegretto
Arr.: Hubert Kross
In his adaptation, Hubert Kross transfers the spherical sound of Naumann’s Sonata in E flat major for glass harmonica (1792) to the instruments of a flute quartet. The transposition to A flat major and a careful expansion of the middle voices were necessary for this.
Additional part: Alto flute in G instead of flute IV
