Hans-Peter Huber
Hans-Peter Huber, geb. 1954, studierte von 1971–1977 Klarinette am Mozarteum in Salzburg (Prof. Alois Heine) und an der Hochschule für Musik München (Prof. Hans Obermüller). Wertvolle Impulse erhielt er durch weiterführende Studien in Historischer Aufführungspraxis bei Nikolaus Harnoncourt und Komposition bei Helmut Eder.
Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Klarinettist, Dozent und Pädagoge widmet er sich seit Jahrzehnten der Musikforschung. Im Fokus seiner Arbeit steht die Bläserkammermusik des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts sowie die Wiederentdeckung und Aufführung vergessener Werke. Einen weiteren Schwerpunkt bildet die intensive Auseinandersetzung mit dem kompositorischen Schaffen Mozarts. Als Herausgeber hat er Werke von Franz Schubert und Gottfried Herrmann bei deutschen Musikverlagen veröffentlicht.

Hans-Peter Huber, born in 1954, studied clarinet from 1971 to 1977 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (with Prof. Alois Heine) and at the Hochschule für Musik München (with Prof. Hans Obermüller). He received valuable inspiration through advanced studies in historical performance practice with Nikolaus Harnoncourt and in composition with Helmut Eder.
In addition to his work as a clarinetist, lecturer, and educator, he has been dedicated to music research for decades. His work focuses on wind chamber music of the 18th and 19th centuries as well as the rediscovery and performance of forgotten works. Another major area of interest is his in-depth engagement with the compositional output of Mozart. As an editor, he has published works by Franz Schubert and Gottfried Herrmann with German music publishers.
