Born in Hamburg, Sebastian Lee was solo cellist at the Grand Op\u00e9ra in Paris, where he also made a name for himself as a teacher. He wrote his works both to emphasize his own virtuoso playing and for use in lessons. This music is sure to awaken the joy of romantic intonation. It is well suited to learning the correct vibrato technique and leads to the agogic freedom that is typical of the interpretation of 19th century music.<\/p>\n
