This overture is based on the composer’s “Tower Brass Fanfare” for brass, organ and timpani, a commissioned work for the “Tower Brass” ensemble of the Turmbl\u00e4ser Geisenhausen. Expanded to the complete wind orchestra, the unmistakable Meixner brass sound is excellently complemented by the woodwinds.<\/p>\n
