Diedrich Stiehl<\/h3>\n<h2>Trio for clarinet (or violin), viola and piano, op. 2<\/h2>\n<h5>edited by Hanno Fendt and Michael Nowotny<\/h5>\n<p>The L\u00fcbeck composer and clarinettist Johann J. D. Stiehl (1800-1872) wrote his Opus 2 for the same instrumentation as Mozart&#8217;s famous &#8220;Kegelstatt-Trio&#8221; KV 498. The work demonstrates a profound knowledge of composition and is ideally suited to be performed in the context of Mozart&#8217;s work.
